Open AI: Humanoid Ads are the new normal.

Accenture Song, the agency behind OpenAI’s ad, creates its own Super Bowl spot using SORA and ChatGPT as their “consultants”.
When I think of human-machine integration, I picture a T-1000 prototype trying to kill Sarah Connor. But of course, we’re far from that reality… though this present moment is still a bit unsettling.
We’ve been adopting artificial intelligence as a work tool for years now, and without even realising it, we’ve buried the concept of human-machine interaction—as if that was something creepy, and this, something amazing.
OpenAI is showing us that AI, at least for now, is just another tool rather than a superpower that will conquer humanity (I said for now).
This debate will continue until the day that dystopia either happens or doesn’t. But the reality is that, as of today, AI is and will remain a tool—not just in advertising, but also in medicine, science, and other arts and professions.
Is it good? Tools have always existed. Humanity has always adopted them to improve society.
Is it bad? There have always been winners and losers.
That being said, I think we should tone down our hysteria about AI taking over the world. I don’t believe we’ll live to see that dark future we sometimes fear—or at least, the one we anticipate.
The final word hasn’t been spoken, and as of today, there are more people in favor of AI than against it—if we can manage to escape the cloud of conspiracy theories and clickbait.
But wait… aren’t we the same ones saying AI will be used to distort information and reshape truth as we know it? Well, yes—and that’s not changing anytime soon. But let’s be honest, the real problem isn’t AI itself—it’s us.
I hate the phrase “Guns don’t kill people, people kill people.” And I’m bringing it up here just to annoy some readers. But in this case, I actually believe we have the choice to either embrace this tool to make us stronger or let it divide us.
It’s up to you. I’ll leave you with that until the next paranoid conclusion of the year!
